MUSES DEN brings together a curated body of self-portraits created within the distinctive setting of Retsin’s Lucifernum Art Gallery in Bruges, Belgium.
The gallery itself becomes an active presence within the work, shaping both atmosphere and composition.
Developed through a sustained engagement with space, light, and presence, the work moves between intimacy and performance — each image forming part of a deliberate visual language grounded in control, composition, and the physicality of the body.
Conceived as an artist book rather than a conventional publication, MUSES DEN presents a complete and contained body of work. Across 73 pages, Vasquez constructs a cinematic rhythm in which moments unfold without explanation, inviting the viewer into an atmosphere that is both composed and instinctive.
Produced in a limited edition of 35, each 12 x 12 inch volume is presented in hardcover with dust jacket, and signed by the artist.
Each copy is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
